Rules & Terms of Service

Last updated November 2026. By creating an account, uploading, or using Serpentarius ("the Site," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. Who can use Serpentarius

You must be 13 or older to create an account. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these Terms for you. We remove accounts that belong to anyone under 13.

2. Your account

You're responsible for everything done with your account. Keep your password private and tell us right away if you think someone else is using it. One person per account; don't pretend to be someone else.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the games, art, films, music and anything else you post ("Your Content").

By posting, you give Serpentarius a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, display, play, stream, resize and share Your Content on the Site and to show it when promoting the Site. This license ends when you delete Your Content, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons or that were already shared.

By posting, you promise that: (a) you made it or have all the rights and permissions needed to post it; (b) it doesn't break any law or anyone else's rights (copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity); and (c) it follows these Terms. You are solely responsible for Your Content. We don't create, endorse or check the accuracy of what users post.

4. What's not allowed

• Sexual or pornographic content, or anything sexual involving minors (we report this to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and law enforcement)
• Hate speech, harassment, threats, bullying or targeting people
• Graphic violence or gore, or anything promoting self-harm or suicide
• Anything illegal, or that helps someone break the law
• Other people's work: songs, movies, shows, art, games or characters you don't have the rights to
• Games or files that try to hack, spy on, mine crypto, steal info, or harm players or their devices
• Scams, spam, fake accounts, or pretending to be someone else
• Anyone's private information (addresses, phone numbers, passwords)

5. Review, removal and accounts

Uploads are reviewed before they go public, and changes to an upload go back for review. Our automatic checks help us spot problems but aren't perfect, and approval doesn't mean we've verified ownership or legality.

We may approve, reject, hide or remove any content, and suspend or close any account, at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. We aren't obligated to host anything. You can delete your own uploads anytime from "My uploads."

6. Copyright policy and takedowns

We respect creators' rights. If you believe something on Serpentarius uses your copyrighted work without permission, send a notice using the ⚑ Report button (choose "Copyright") or the contact below, including:

• your name and how to reach you;
• what work you own, and where it appears on Serpentarius;
• a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized; and
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you're the owner or authorized to act for them, plus your physical or electronic signature.

We'll remove or disable the content and let the uploader know. If you uploaded something that was removed and believe it was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice explaining why. We'll close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Copyright and legal contact: use the ⚑ Report button on the item.

7. Games, files and other sites

Games and files are made by users and played at your own risk. Games run in a locked-down space that can't reach your account, but we can't guarantee any user file is safe, works, or is appropriate. Links and streams from other sites (like Twitch, YouTube, Kick or WooWoogle) belong to those sites, and their own terms apply.

8. Disclaimers and limits of liability

Serpentarius is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it'll always be online, error-free, or that content will never be lost. Back up your own work.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Serpentarius and its owner won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or content, arising from your use of the Site or any user's content or conduct. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to $50 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

You agree to defend and cover Serpentarius and its owner against any claims, losses, damages and legal costs (including reasonable attorney fees) that come from Your Content, your use of the Site, or your breaking these Terms or anyone's rights.

9. Privacy

We store your email and creator name so you can sign in. Your email is never shown publicly; your creator name and anything you upload are public once approved. We don't sell your information. We may share information if the law requires it or to protect people's safety.

10. Changes and ending

We may update these Terms. If we make big changes, we'll post them here with a new date, and continuing to use the Site means you accept them. You can stop using the Site and delete your uploads at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
